Brick Sculpture Named Local Treasure

September 23, 2015 – In 2003, the Community Arts Council in Sugarcreek began crafting ideas and raising funds to make a series of panels that visually tell the history of the village of Sugarcreek and communities in the Garaway Local Schools District — Baltic, Dundee, and Ragersville. The Sugarcreek Brick Wall Sculpture was initially installed by The Belden Brick Company, Cherry Ridge Masons, and Stutzman Lawn & Landscaping. Carving of the wall began January 9, 2012, by sculptor Sherry Crilow. It took her about three weeks to create each of the 13 panels. Read more here.
