A WATERFRONT SANCTUARY
The walkway was conceived as a public space that would connect the building sites and allow for full access to the water's edge. To emphasize the accessible nature of the development, a grand ramp connects the upper walkway with the lower waterfront walkway that circulates each finger pier building.
The tradition of finger piers continues at the development. Additionally, the ferry pavilion enhances public use and prolongs the viability of the waterfront as a public amenity. The private domain of hotel, residential, and commercial uses encloses a continuous habitable wall.
YOUR GATEWAY INTO BOSTON
The Rowes Wharf restoration involved removing all existing brick pavers over the entire 5.5 acres of property. To achieve a successful project worthy of national recognition, the structural deck locations were waterproofed and reset with approximately 400,000 new Ebony Black, Regimental Full Range, and Wheatfield Belden Clay Pavers. Our clay pavers were also married with a local granite to provide the custom color accent for the nautical compass composition in Foster’s Court, one of the central gathering spots in the exclusive Boston area.
